Benefits of Ghee in Winter Season

In winters there is too much dryness as weather is cold and chilly winds are there. So we feel cold and wear warm clothes to keep us warm. Very good natural source to keep us warm is ghee. Ghee in winters is best friend which keeps cold at bay. In  winters body burns huge amount of calories to provide warmth. So ghee also is digested easily in winters.                             

WAYS TO ADD GHEE WITH BENEFITS

1. Ghee is good for our skin: As in winters our skin becomes dry so applying ghee on skin and lips prevent it from dryness and act as natural moisturizer.

2.  Ghee is good for constipation: So consumption of ghee in raw form is very useful to prevent constipation. 1 teaspoon of ghee can be added in milk with turmeric at night for smooth bowel movement.

3.  Ghee improves metabolism and aids in weight loss. When ghee is consumed raw in morning helps our digestive system to soothen and also helps to improves our metabolism and in weight loss. Cravings also reduce when you consume ghee empty stomach.

4.  Ghee provides us energy as it is a good source of fat so can be added on top of Daal and roti. It can be added on dalia and khichri. Also it is best used in making laddoo like Ragi and Sesame seeds laddoo, also we can add mix seeds and nuts in it. Panjeeri which is commonly made in winters has main ingredient as ghee.

5.  Ghee acts as an antioxidant so improves our immunity and helps us to remain disease free in winters. So cold, cough and throat infections can be cured by ghee. Applying on nostrils when have cold and cough helps to heel faster.

But ghee contains too much calories so be cautions to have 2 teaspoon ghee entire day. Don’t exceed it otherwise can create heart problem, increase cholesterol and increase weight.
